Start with the one concern that bothers you most. You don't need the whole lineup, and adding products one at a time makes it easy to tell what's working.
Dry or dehydrated skin
Tight after washing, flaky around the nose, makeup that looks dry by noon. Start with the Honey Glow Toner and a few drops of the Propolis Energy Active Ampule, then seal it in with a cream. Barrier Reset Cream is the plain, no-fuss pick. The Propolis Oil-in-Cream is richer and better for winter.
Blackheads and visible pores
The Propolis Rescue Ampule is the pore pick in the US lineup. It's a niacinamide serum, and CNP reports 38.94% fewer blackheads after two weeks in its own testing. Pair it with the Invisible Peeling Booster two or three nights a week. CNP's well-known Blackhead Clear Kit isn't in its US Amazon store right now.
Rough texture and dullness
The Invisible Peeling Booster uses gluconolactone (a PHA) and you leave it on, so there's no scrub and no rinse. Use it after cleansing, every other night at first. On the off nights, the Rescue Powder Wash gives a gentle enzyme polish. Don't stack both on the same night until you know how your skin reacts.
Uneven tone and dark spots
The TX-PDRN line pairs tranexamic acid and niacinamide with PDRN. Use the Pink Toning Toner after cleansing and the Skin Refining Serum after that. The serum has micro-spicules, so a light tingle is normal. Patch test first if your skin is reactive, and wear SPF every day, or the spots come back.
Fine lines and firmness
The Active Boost 1:1 Ampule is CNP's main PDRN serum. Its partner is a milky toner with PDRN and rice extracts. Both go on before moisturizer, morning or night. Topical PDRN is a cosmetic, not the injectable treatment, so expect smoother, bouncier-looking skin over weeks rather than a clinic result.
Dry, chapped lips
Honey Lip Butter is a thick balm in a jar with a twist dial. Put a layer on before bed and wake up to softer lips. For daytime, Jelly Lipcerin is a glossy tube with a squishy cushion tip. Honey Cake is clear, and the other four shades add a sheer tint.
A Simple CNP Laboratory Routine
Morning
Gentle cleanse or a water rinse → Honey Glow Toner → Propolis Energy Active Ampule or a PDRN serum → moisturizer → Daily Milky Light Sunscreen SPF 50
Evening
Deepcerin Cleansing Balm to melt sunscreen → water-based cleanser → Invisible Peeling Booster on exfoliation nights → serum → cream → Honey Lip Butter
If you're only buying one thing, make it the Propolis Energy Active Ampule. It works for most skin types, and it fits in at any point in the day. The toner is a nice extra, not a must.
Layering basics
Go from thinnest to thickest: toner, then serum, then cream
Add one new product at a time and give it a week or two before adding the next
Patch test behind the ear first. This matters most if you react to bee products, since propolis comes from bees
Exfoliate two or three nights a week, not every night. Skip the PHA on nights you use retinol from another brand
Sunscreen is the last step every morning. Reapply every two hours outside, and after swimming or sweating
Key Ingredients in CNP Formulas
Before you buy
- Check the size. Several products come in more than one, like the 1.18 fl oz and 0.5 fl oz ampule.
- Read the ingredient list for anything you know you react to, like propolis, fragrance or fish-derived PDRN.
- Match the texture to your skin. Gel and milky formulas suit oily skin, and creams and oil-in-cream suit dry skin.
- Look for the US version. Korean and Japanese packs can have different formulas and labels.
The percentages on CNP listings, like 38.94% fewer blackheads or 47% more radiance, come from the brand's own small studies. They're a useful guide, but your results may differ.
Propolis
A resin that bees collect from plants. CNP uses propolis extract to soothe and condition skin. The Honey Glow toner, ampule and creams are all built around it. If you react to honey or bee products, check the label and patch test.
PDRN (Sodium DNA)
Polydeoxyribonucleotide, DNA fragments that show up as Sodium DNA on ingredient lists. CNP's PDRN is sourced from salmon, which matters if you avoid fish-derived ingredients. In a serum it's there for hydration and smoother-looking skin.
PHA (gluconolactone)
The exfoliant in Invisible Peeling Booster. PHAs have bigger molecules than glycolic acid, so they work more slowly at the surface and tend to be easier on dry or sensitive skin. They also hold on to water.
Ceramides and panthenol
Ceramides are the fats that hold your skin barrier together. Barrier Reset Cream uses a 3:1:1 mix of ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids. Panthenol (provitamin B5) is a calming humectant you'll find in the sunscreen and peeling booster.
Niacinamide and tranexamic acid
These two do most of the brightening in the Pink Toning products. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) also helps with oil and the look of pores, which is why it's in the Rescue Ampule. Tranexamic acid targets dark spots and post-breakout marks. Both are gentle enough for daily use, but they only keep working if you wear sunscreen.
Why People Stick With CNP Lab
Started in a clinic
The brand grew out of a Korean dermatology practice. The first products went after the problems that practice saw every day: oily skin, dehydration, sensitivity and rough texture.
One job per product
Each formula targets one main concern, so you can build a short routine that covers what your skin actually needs. No 10-step system required.
Gentle by design
Most of the line is tested on sensitive skin. Even the exfoliants lean mild: a leave-on PHA and an enzyme powder wash rather than gritty scrubs.

About CNP Laboratory
CNP started with the Cha & Park dermatology practice, which opened in South Korea in 1996. The doctors there kept seeing the same problems: oily, congested skin, dehydration, sensitivity and rough texture. In 2000 they founded CNP Cosmetics to make products patients could keep using at home between visits.
The Propolis Energy Active Ampule came out in 2005 and is still the brand's steady seller. Since then the lineup has grown to include the Invisible Peeling Booster, the Lipcerin lip butters, ceramide creams, sunscreen and the Derma Answer PDRN serums. In 2014, LG Household & Health Care bought a controlling stake, and CNP still runs as its own brand within the company.
Formulas and packaging vary from country to country, so a CNP product you saw in Seoul or Tokyo may not match what's sold in the US. This site covers the US lineup and explains what each product does, who it suits and how to fit it into a routine. You'll also find real customer reviews and answers to common questions.
Frequently Asked Questions About CNP Laboratory
CNP Laboratory is a South Korean skincare brand with roots in a dermatology clinic. Its formulas target dryness, visible pores, rough texture and other everyday skin concerns. The best-known products are the Propolis Energy Active Ampule, the Invisible Peeling Booster, the PDRN serums and the Lipcerin lip butters. Sunscreen, cleansers and moisturizers round out the line.
Yes. CNP traces back to the Cha & Park dermatology practice, which opened in South Korea in 1996. That's where the "C" and "P" come from. CNP Cosmetics was founded in 2000 to bring that clinic experience into products people could use at home. It later became part of LG Household & Health Care, one of Korea's biggest beauty companies.
LG Household & Health Care, a South Korean company that also owns several other beauty and personal care brands. LG H&H bought a controlling stake in CNP Cosmetics in 2014. CNP still runs as its own skincare brand and sells in Korea and a number of other markets, including the US.
The Propolis Energy Active Ampule. CNP says it has been a steady seller since 2005, and it's the bottle most people start with. The Honey Lip Butter and Jelly Lipcerin have a big following too, along with the Invisible Peeling Booster and the newer PDRN serums. In Korea, the Anti-Pore Blackhead Clear Kit is another classic.
It's a light, slightly bouncy serum that hydrates and gives dull skin a bit of glow. Along with two kinds of propolis extract, it has hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan for moisture and madecassoside to calm things down. Use 2–3 drops after toner and before moisturizer, morning or night. It comes in 1.18 fl oz (35 ml) and 0.5 fl oz sizes. If you're sensitive to bee products, patch test first.
It's a two-step nose treatment. Put the first sheet on for about 10–15 minutes to soften the gunk in your pores. Peel it off and gently wipe the loosened buildup away with the cotton swab from the kit. Then put the second sheet on for 5–10 minutes to calm and hydrate the area. Don't squeeze or scrape, and go by the directions printed on your kit, since versions vary.
No. It clears out what's there now and makes pores look cleaner for a while, but your skin keeps making oil, so blackheads come back. Good cleansing and a gentle exfoliant like the Invisible Peeling Booster help between treatments. The kit isn't in CNP's US Amazon store at the moment. For pores, the Propolis Rescue Ampule is the closest option in the current US lineup.
It smooths rough texture by loosening dead skin on the surface. It's a leave-on essence with gluconolactone (a PHA), plus allantoin and panthenol to keep skin comfortable. Pump one or two pushes onto clean, dry skin before toner, and don't rinse. Start every other night. If you also use retinol or other acids, go slower. The bottle is 3.38 fl oz (100 ml).
PDRN products use DNA fragments, listed as Sodium DNA on the label, to help with hydration and smoother, bouncier-looking skin. CNP's US lineup has the Active Boost 1:1 Ampule and Toner, which focus on fine lines and firmness, plus the TX-PDRN serum and Pink Toning Toner, which add tranexamic acid for uneven tone. These are cosmetics. They won't do what injectable PDRN does at a clinic.
CNP has sold retinol products in some markets, but its US Amazon store doesn't carry one right now. For fine lines in the current lineup, look at the Active Boost 1:1 Ampule with PDRN. For rough texture, try the Invisible Peeling Booster. If you already use a retinol from another brand, use it in the evening, skip the peeling booster that night, and wear sunscreen every day.
Honey Lip Butter is a thick, cushiony balm in a 0.5 fl oz jar with a twist dial. It works best as an overnight lip mask and comes in Original, Berry, Lime, Mint and three Café flavors. Jelly Lipcerin is a 0.3 fl oz glossy tube with a soft cushion tip. It's made for wearing during the day, either clear (Honey Cake) or lightly tinted in Pink Donut, Caramel Pudding, Cherry Pie and Grapefruit Candy.
Many of the formulas are tested on sensitive skin, but it comes down to the product. Barrier Reset Cream, Aqua Soothing Gel Cream and the Propolis Energy Ampule are gentler places to start than the exfoliants or the TX-PDRN serum, which can tingle. Some products contain fragrance or propolis, and either can bother reactive skin. Read the ingredient list and patch test before putting anything new on your whole face.
Most of them, yes. The toners, the Propolis Energy Ampule, the moisturizers, the lip butters and the sunscreen are all made for daily use. The Invisible Peeling Booster and the Rescue Powder Wash are exfoliants, so build up to them slowly. Treatments like the Blackhead Clear Kit are for once in a while. Follow the directions for each product instead of using everything every day.
Yes. In the US, CNP sells Daily Milky Light Sunscreen, a broad spectrum SPF 50 with niacinamide and panthenol. It has a light, lotion-like feel, doesn't leave a white cast, and works for face and body. In Asia you'll also see formulas like Tone-Up Protection Sun SPF42 PA+++, but those are made for other markets. Apply plenty, and reapply at least every two hours outdoors or after swimming or sweating.
In the US, the simplest option is CNP Laboratory's brand store on Amazon, which the shop buttons on this page link to. CNP products are also sold through beauty retailers and marketplaces in other countries, and Korean or Japanese versions can differ in size, formula and packaging. Whatever you buy, check the product name, size and ingredient list, and make sure the seller is legit.
